WHY IN THE HELL ARE WE IN IRAQ?

To hell with George W. Bush and every sheep who has ever defended him. Including me! But at least I came to my senses. Iraq IS Vietnam. Afghanistan is damn near lost because of it.
This is gonna be a bad day.

Wow. I just now, for the first time, got independent confirmation of what I thought I experienced that morning:
I wrote, three years ago: "A fighter jet screamed overhead, seeming to brush against the tops of the buildings. Remember that in D.C., no building is taller than the U.S. Capitol. The jet was just about tree-top level. The ground shook under my feet."
On MSNBC's replay of the "Today Show" from 9/a, I just saw Jim Mick-la-shevsky report that a fighter jet had been seen circling the Pentagon, then shot out over downtown Washington at just the time I heard it and felt it.
Funny how you can start to doubt what you experience.

Found the report. Might have been! But, I was on Connecticut Avenue walking distance to Dupont Circle. It seemed to be at treetop level. Shook the ground. Extremeley loud. ... The tape shows it a lot higher over the WH. Hmmm.
What you saw was the fighter escort for the Doomsday Plane.
It always flies with two fighter jets in escort. It can even refuel it's own escort in flight.
The Doomsday Plane is our Air Bourne Nuclear War Control System (I'm sure it has another name by now.) The plane was most likely on its way to Omaha to meet up with Bush. It left Andrews AFB before the Pentagon was hit, and passed over D.C. just after it was hit. Most probably the fighter jets belong to it.
This a plane that nobody talks about and just barely exist in the public eye.
