Given their current financial situation, they've got to do what they can to scare up some money, and of course, their minions are always happy to oblige.
If they lie about health care, if they lie about the law, and people find out about it, why would those same people asume that they were lying about Jesus. What's that Bible verse about getting between the innocent and God ? Something about wishing they had never been born? Deflecting souls away from Jesus to satify a political agenda might count towards that sin, would it not? I guess saving souls is not as important as killing baby killers some might say.
