Political Compass, by request

First, myself (and I have remained fairly consistent, although I ticked more toward the middle this time on the libertarian-authoritarian scale):

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.26

I'm still hangin' with Ghandi, Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama. Solidly liberal-libertarian. Imagine.

Check in with yer updates, peeps!

Here it is, Anon. Don't say I never gave ya nothin'.

Political Compass

Comments:
Economic Left/Right: -8.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.13

I can't remember what it was last time.

Economic Left/Right: -0.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -3.69

Less libertarian than last tme, It cant be that I'm disliking government less; I must be loathing people more.

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -5.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.72
That's halfway to anarchy and the left about the same score as the Dali Lama.

Feodor makes me look conservative.

Re, "I must be loathing people more." Snort. :-)

Feodor, yer dang near off the map!

I don't know what happened. I seemed to have more definite answers this time around.

You guys have firmed up my commitments.

Economic Left/Right: -4.75
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.67

Everybody in the same quadrant so far. Do we have a diversity problem in the comments? the occasional drive-by conservative seems to say so.

Don't remember what it was, exactly, last time, but this is pretty close:

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -7.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -7.54

I don't know. It'd be depressing to some of the results from the HWMNBNs. Can you imagine where N falls?

I wish Tug would grow some hair on 'em and show hisself, though. He can be fun once in awhile.

F:"You guys have firmed up my commitments."

I have this mental picture of GSK and Feodor in black trench coats with black fedoras on their heads. Both are holding those old fashioned cannon ball bombs with lit fuses. They are huddled together with sneers on their faces and a lists of conservative and liberal bloggers in their hands and are discussing whom to do first.

Shudder.

Both of you guys are so far to the left that you have almost made it back onto the chart in the upper right hand corner.

See, that's the power of conventional thinking. I can't and won't speak for Feodor, but for myself there are certain lines I don't cross; the idea that, at the end of the day, there are few differences between radical lefties and righties only really applies to certain states - Stalinist Soviet Union and Nazi Germany being classic cases of opposites being identity.

I am also a proponent of non-violence, so no bombs.

Finally, I don't take myself seriously enough to think that what I do is either important or influential. Like Rush, I do this to entertain myself, for the most part (and there, I hope, the resemblance ends).

Economic Left/Right 0.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian 1.50

Moved left on the latter, must be getting more paranoid.

Oops that should read on Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.5. Put your pitchforks down!

Ha! No pitchforks, Doc. ... What in the world does even money mean on the economics scale? Wow. Neither supply-side nor demand-side? LOL Does that mean "I got mine, y'all get yours"? LOL

Thabo Mbeki, who comes with his own problems, grew up in a home where a portrait of Karl Marx sat on the mantle and a portrait of Mohandas Ghandi was hung on the wall.

Add Freud, Darwin, and St. Gregory of Nyssa and you have my inner wall of honor.

I find I have less room for being lukewarm, lately; lukewarm is killing my countrymen.

Humm, I grew up in a home with just two pictures on the wall.
One was a cheap print of Charles Russel's "Wagon Boss" and the other was a picture of a wolf in the snow looking down at a cabin. I think it was call the wolf at the door or something.

There are three non-family type person pictures on my current walls: Yoda, Lincoln , and T.E. Lawrence.

GKS: "See, that's the power of conventional thinking."

Conventional?
Lighten up, it was humor.
As for my sense of humor, it doesn't come across too well in the digital domain. Hell, a joke at FCB got me terminated there, and it was a mild one at that.

I guess I don't use :) enough.
but actually my sense of humor is more like :] or :/ or :< even .

I do so love it when people get called out and insist "it was all a joke!" Whether it's Rush, or Marshall, or drlobojo - I don't buy it.

Doc, you're leaning!

My inner wall has no pictures, because I do not believe in graven images . . . and cameras steal the soul anyway, which is why all the eyes are always red in all those photos.

Economic Left/Right: -4.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.59

Not terribly surprising. No idea what it has been previous times that I've taken it.
