A rare deliberate dropping of F-bombs on ER
:::UPDATED UPDATED with a Harry Nilsson classic, at bottom. I'm just gonna get this F-bombing out of my sytem! LOL ... UPDATED UPDATED UPDATED:::
Dedicated to ... well, it'll be obvious: All you hateful sons-of-bitches. Cutest song, EVer! :-)

"F--k You (Very Much)," Lily Allen
Look inside,
Look inside your tiny mind
Now look a bit harder
Cause we're so uninspired,
So sick and tired,
Of all the hatred you harbor
So you say,
It's not okay to be gay
Well I think you're just evil
You're just some racist,
Who can't tie my laces
Your point of view is medieval
F--k you,
F--k you very very much
Cause we hate what you do,
And we hate your whole crew
So please don't stay in touch
F--k you,
F--k you very very much
Cause your words don't translate,
And it's getting quite late
So please don't stay in touch
Do you get,
Do you get a little kick
Out of being slow minded?
You want to be like your father,
It's approval you're after
Well that's not how you find it
Do you,
Do you really enjoy
living a life that's so hateful?
Cause theres a hole where your soul should be
And you're losing control of it
And it's really distasteful
F--k you,
F--k you very very much
Cause we hate what you do,
And we hate your whole crew
So please don't stay in touch
F--k you,
F--k you very very much
Cause your words don't translate,
And it's getting quite late
So please don't stay in touch
Look inside,

Nope, but it's vaguely ABBA-esque sounding. I'm surprised there isn't a dance remix out there somewhere. :)
Though I don't know either of those songs, I think this one expresses approximately the same sentiment:

Slightly more vivid imagery, but without the f-bombs. :)

Weird Al!
(Don't tell anyone, but I still have a Rolodex. A small one.)
(Don't tell anyone, but I still have a metal crad file on my desk at work with peeps' business card in it.)

Say, this brings up the obvious conundrum or perhaps paradox of my own theological convictions. All those F....rs and worse, much worse will be redeemed by Grace along with me. So what really separates us?
Fuck me, I get so angry with the Republicans at their simple minded and selfish obstructionism, my old co-workers for the depreciating self centeredness, and all the other sinners that I am confronted with. But then we aren't so different...dang it.
Don't expect this kind of insight much in the future.

I don't know if there is *any* discernible difference.
Christianitywise, one of the things my atheist friends point out is that Christians, their claims of "life-changing" encounters with Christ notwithstanding, aren't that much different than nonChristians.
And we have no defense. (The first yahoo who jumps in here and says, "Yes, there IS a difference! We're *forgiven*!' is gonna get whacked. Gah).
We do have a response: It's to quit claiming we've had a "life-changing experience with Christ," when we ALL know emotions and every other human character trait comes and goes, and start admitting that what happens is we start trying to change our lives ourselves, in response to Grace, and start trying to bring about the kingdom not one "saved soul" at a time but one loved person at a time.
And even THAT might be more me than it should be.
