Okies on ice

Ice!
I was upstairs.
My downstairs living room is being redone.
The inside door to the stairs that open into the livingroom was closed amd sealed.
The outside stairs were impassable after 20 minutes of freezing rain.
Bummer.
Ice.
A slick smooth glaze.
Not ice with snow.
Not even ice with sleet.
After 12 hours it finally snowed a little and sleeted a little so finally there was some traction.
When dogs can't stand up on the ice, it don't bother me none that I can't.
So how did I get down from upstairs. I begged for them to open the door.
