Vacation sunset

Back to work for real tomorrow. Sigh. Some last glimpses of how I spent my summer vacation!

Pix by phone:

Oklahoma Redhawks vs. Albuquerque Isotopes, today.

Relaxing on the patio, the other day.

Bailey and Riker!

ER's Bacon-Adjacent Scallops (shouldn't have cut the bacon in half).

A Rob Roy, close-up.

Still life, at the grill. (Dr. ER said for me to say that poor Riker does not have the mange; he is losing his undercoat).

Comments:
LOL! Pabst...how "my Uncle Wayne" of you!

Makes me want to end the comment with:

"Buuuusssssssssschhhhhhhhhhhh."

And a fine finish to your vaca it is. Sorry to see it dwindle down but I hope you can keep the feeling of being refreshed for a while.

I'm jealous, it's winter here and it looks so warm over there.

And I want a BBQ... it's too cold at the moment and dark when I get home, so it is packed up in the garage.

Roll on Summer.... then I can go and watch some cricket :)

Enjoy

Lee

Condolances, have another Rob Roy!
Do you want me to send you some post cards from the coast of Oregon over the next few weeks?
(Ah, salt in the wounds in the first few hours after returning to work, how invigorating.)

Say goodbye to Clem for me.
I knew him as the politician, long long ago.

Give Dr. ER my greetings and tell her I'll see her in August.

"Albuquerque Isotopes"

Heh. Excellent name. Now that's a team this chemist could root for!

Nuke 'em, Isotopes!

Was going to say that I'm jealous of your vacation, ER, but then drlobojo said the magic words: "Oregon coast." Now I'm really jealous.

Would absolutely love to be strolling on Agate Beach right about now.

Yes, Agate Beach is on my list. I'll think about you Kristen as I collect those agates and fossils and lean 20 degrees into the wind to stand up there.

DrLobo: Sure! Keepng the fur trade in mind and general exploration in mind ...

Dr. ER is in Tejas until Saturday visiting her leetle seester and the niecelets, who are down from Ohio. Then, Tuesday, she's off to D.C. for most of the rest of July, so y'all will both be back around at the same time.

And in the interim, Saturday night, we plan to be in attendance at the Okie Noodling Tournament, Weigh In and Catfish Fry at Bob's Pig Shop in Pauls Valley!

Bob's Pig Shop? Please inform me that is an informal name for the house of a friend.

Your weener dog doesn't look nearly as retarded as you constantly claim.

Where were the cats at this cookout? Bemoaning a noticeable lack of fish and thus banning themselves from your presence as punishment?

Ha! The cats watch longingly from the kitchen window seat!

Oregon Coast? Dear God please take me with you. I'll ride in a backpack or the trunk or anywhere you've got space!

Re, from Lee, in Australia, "it's too cold at the moment and dark when I get home, so it is packed up in the garage."

Let's trade! It was 94 F. tonight here at dusk. Dr. ER and I bought a chimnia(sp?) the other day at one-third cost and can't wait for coool weather to try it out!
