Martinis, mostly
Apparently, I have worn out a stainless-steel cocktail shaker in 17 months. Bodes well this does not. The damn thing has cracked and leaks!

Wow....as a fellow martini fan, I have to say, that is certainly quite a feat! I've had the same shaker for probably 12 years and it's still in fine shape.
A flaw in the metal? Yeah, right.
Maybe you're just shaking it too hard. You know what they say, "Any fool can shake a martini. It takes a genius to know when to stop." :)

Ha! Actually, I think I must have bent it, somehow and weakened it. The crakc is right at the lip of the bottle.
RE: "Buy one that cost more than $7.95."
Hey, I worked in a bar where they weren't about to spend 8 bucks on that stuff, and we never BROKE anything. And I was flashy.
And you can't "shake" it too hard. You can shake it so hard it flies outta your hands, but shakin' it won't kill it. You must've been playin' basketball with it.

Momeent of silence for my young friend. I tossed it. ... Mem'ries ... :-)
I'd say a trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond is in order. Only dang place I've ever seen good ones for sale.
