Redneck repast

Hoo boy. After today's dinner, at the house, if my neck got any redder, the white collar I'm forced to wear would burst plumb into flames. :-) ... (Note; I am totally behind on readin' comments over the weekend, but I see y'all had fun!)

Comments:
Where's the RC Cola and Moon Pie?

I'm pretty sure one red peanut patty is equal to an RC and a Moon Pie!

Of course, a mid-afternoon peanuts-in-a-Coke trumps both. And I do that once in awhile mainly to freak out a coworker. :-)

Bah!

White sliced bread?
No! No! Saltine crackers!

Helman's?

Never! Kraft Miracle Whip, nothing less!

Peanuts in a Coke, Fooey!
Boston Baked Bean Peanuts in a Dr. Pepper or a Nehi Cola (the original Mentos explosion!)

Erudite Pinkneck indeed!

Re, "Peanuts in a Coke, Fooey!

Makes my teeth hurt thinkin' about it. ... But I'll bet it's tasty. And gives a heckuva sugar rush!

Uh, what's a peanut patty?
There I go, embarrassing myself again, but...

I was over east of the Cascades watching my daughter graduate from high school, and so got to miss out on the fun-with-atheists challenge over the weekend.

Not sure I would've got into it. I mean, of course I believe what I believe, but I don't evangelize about it. I can like religious people without liking religion, just like folks all over the globe hate America but like Americans.

The thing is, the discussion always bogs down at some point. I guess it just looks like filibustering, past a certain point, to me.

Now; are you a dual citizen of both OK and CO these days, or just living in Colorado?

Thst red round thing in the picture is a peanut patty! Peanuts! Sugar! Red! Mmmm-mm. :-)

Sigh. Living in Oklahoma. Dr. ER living in Colorado. Gettin' together when we cacn. Still looking for THE job on the Front Range ...

Peanut Patty: more like sugar and corn syrup, and sugar, and peanuts. Oh yes and red dye number 36.
Now that the real sugar high.
I'm gonna have to go test my blood sugar level just from thinking about it.

ER, you got me thinking, and now I've got to go find some of those Boston Baked Beans.

How'd that milk sneak in there?

Oh, I am a milk DRINKER. :-) 2 percent.

And, much to Dr. ER and Bird's horror, I've become a buttermilk drinker! Started keeping it on hand about a year ago. Soothes the tum-tum.

Ah real milk, used to skim the cream off of the top of the pitcher when it was cold in the refrigerator and drink that direct-from-the-cow brand.

Now I do pasturized homoginized 1%.

Sad.

ER, you are an old time milk producer, did you take yours to a creamery to be processed?

My folks' dairy came and went before I came along. I think they sucked it from the cows, chilled it, put it in those big cans and hauled into Fort Smith.

They did have milking machines, I mean, when they were not common.

I was gonna say we used our hands to milk the cows. Sucking it out, well that sounds kinda ... primative.
But then I'm glad you went on to mention the milking machines. Much more better.
