It's ... a new car!

My mind's eye sees only a "big ol' boy" loadin' into his pickup. I just can't get my arms wrapped around you poppin' outta a Mazda.
But you're pocketbook'll feel better. Just fueled mine last night with just more than a half tank, and I had to roll out a $50 bill to pay the debt. And I had a 7-cent-per-gallon-off coupon.

That blood color would come in handy around here during deer season. Wouldn't even have to hose it down after hitting one! :)
ZOOM backwards is MOOZ. OK, that spunds redneck enough. Mazda backwards is Adzam, that sounds...weird.
Thus spake Zarathushtra, blood red is so Ahura Mazda. The Wise Lord's own car. So Mr. Erudited Redeneck, you finally decided to worship at the alter of the Persian God Mazda. I approve.
I've always admired the Japanese who paid homage to him by naming their company after him.
Is the "3" a reference to a Trinity is some way? I thought the Wise Lord was but a single entity and did not share his Lordship with Mithra or any other.

Teditor, I still got my poor ol' truck. Things are gonna get a little dicey in July and August, when I'll have total combined car payments of $864.
Two words:
Beanie. Weinies.

The BIG downer is now I'm worried about weather again. My took almost $7,000 in hail damage in, like, 2005. Since then, I've been more worried about house than my veehickle. Now, gulp, I'm worried about my poor lil ol' zoom-zoom.
Oh, and don't tell anyone, y'all, buit -- ahem -- this is my fourth Mazda!
I had back-to-back GLCs back in the day, and the MX-6 I just traded off.

It's mighty purdy! I just wonder how many times you'll have to fold yourself in order to get into it. And GLCs? How did you ever have enough room to turn the steering wheel?
OK, devil's advocate here. If you were to apply a car or truck payment to what it would cost to fix your truck, how many months would it have extended your payments? That's how I keep figuring out whether to keep my old car -- if it's not more than four payments at a time, I fix it and keep on going with it.

Oh, and personally? I was sorta a little on the thrilled side when you had to have the hail damage on your truck fixed, as you may recall. Not that I wished the truck further harm...
It's going to cost $6,500 to fix my truck, assuming it requires a replacement engine -- and that's a rebuilt engine. My truck payment is $509 a month. So, there's the math.
The problem is I don't have $6,500 cash to spend on the truck. What I plan to do is pay the truck off, then get a loan, using the truck as collateral, to to fix the truck. I can get a three-year note on a $5,500 loan at $162 a month.
Which means that the combined payments for the new Mazda and the fixed-up truck would be just about what my current payment is now on the broken-down truck.
It's a tough call. The truck is sound; just won't run. LOL.
And, I wuv it. :-)

You've forgotten the microfiche/microfilm ding. I felt so guilty. But you got it fixed with the hail dings!
Trixie: That behemoth! I was embarrassed that I/we couldn't life the thinkg into the truck! LOL
Jeannie: You remember the baby pee-yellow Mazda, but it was a Volkswagen Rabbit belonging to Brudder's friend that hauled all four of us Very Large Men to Vegas and back!

Almost got one of these myself last year, but opted for a Nissan Versa instead. The Mazda really is a fun car to drive, though!
I wuv my new car! But I also wuv that I still have my Big Truck! Yeah, yeah, it's in hospice, but it will recover and I will still have it when I need it. ...Probably ...
