Fruitlets of my labor!

What'd life be without Homegrown Tomatoes?!? (Guy Clark rules). (Sorry they're blurry. In my excitement I done went and shook the phone!)

Comments:
On the whole, I would say there's little about Oklahoma food that I miss after 12 years in California, three in New York and a few others in Canada and elsewhere. One exception would be tomatoes there which are far superior to any I've ever had in the Golden State.

Unfried Green Tomaters.

Ohhhhh, yum! Nothing beats a homegrown tomato! My paternal grandma used to serve tomatoes with every meal. It was a bit strange eating sliced tomatoes at breakfast, but oh-so good when she went out the back door and picked them herself. :)

I wonder if it's too late in the season here to start my own container tomatoes. We have to plant most things early in our area because it gets so gosh darned HOT during summer. Maybe...

Junk! If ya got sun, water, soil and a couple of big pots, you got the makings of good 'maters!

DrLobo: As a relish, big chuncks, yessir. (Hey, the messing-with-atheists post back there is still alive!)

Frenzied: It would cost you but a few dollars to find out, if you can find transplants this late. :-)

Yep, I went back there and left a deposit just now.

Say, bro, going out to quest for the axis mundi for a while. Out beyond wifi and plug in range of communication devices.
Will be sporadic or noncommunicado for a week or two or three.

Dang. Jealous. I am entering an extended period of being chained to my desk at work and the 9.6 miles between home and there, I'm afraid. have fun.

ER - We do have sporadic sun but more fog in the summer.
