Rocky Mountains (sighs)

Cool views, dudes. (Pix by ER) ...

And Dr. ER is going back up to Estes Park today for the weekend. ...

She was so sick last weekend, she never hardly even got out of the cabin. ...

Her own camera trigger finger is itchy!

Comments:
Nice! Especially like the third one, with the blowing snow.

Glad Dr. ER's feeling better!

:-) ... The wind was doing way cool things with those mountain tops. A few times, it was so cool, cars, whipped off the road and people jumped out, and leaned out of windows with cameras.

I think I'm going to die from terminal envy!

Thems is some purty mountain pictures, ER.

Don't see no ski trails, though. No reason to go into the mountains if'n ya ain't skiin'. :-)

My brother, who now lives in Westminister, would disagree. He thinks the Denver area is the place to be. Of course, he also thought when he lived in Colby, Kan., that it was the place to be, so I tend to take his words with a grain or two of salt.

Snowshoein'!

I don't reckon I'll ever don a ski. But I had a blast trompin' around on amongs them purdy peaks!

I love to ski and have for 24 years. I went fairly regularly in college, then missed out on the experience for several years because of, well, lack of funds.

Newspaper jobs do that to a youngster.

Then I went a few years ago when we were up there visiting my brother, then living in Longmont. Even out of shape, I had an absolute blast, and even though it had been more than a decade since I'd donned the skis, I got back into the groove rather easily. If'n I'd only been in better shape.

Now all I'd need is one more knee brace -- I got one with my right knee ACL replacement, but not with my left knee ACL replacement -- and I'd be back in the mountains swooshin' down the slopes again.

ER, my momma, God rest her soul, learned to ski at the age of 50. She went several times after that and loved it so very much. Ya never know what you might like.

Just for clarity's sake, I have said my final goodbyes over at my old site. Please visit, and comment. I'll take a gander in a couple days to see if anyone else adds their two-cents.

I love you, man.

I honestly feel like a page is turning in my life, and I don;t like it at all.

But, I am happy if GKS is happy. Sniff. But sometimes I wish I could rip my bleeding heart out of my chest. Sniff.
