Meet Eames!

"Eames" is the name Dr. ER picked for the new she-kitty, shown here incarcerated in her Houston-area hospital-jail cell. It's the name of one of the detectives on "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," which Dr. ER loves (and I tolerate).

Dr. ER says, however, that she reserves the right to revise and extend the kitty's name after she meets her.

And thanks to DrLoboJo for finding the ghost in Eames' eye!

Comments:
I am not sure but I think Eames is on "law and order criminal intent"
congrades on the new kitty.

Continuing in the vein of the last post:

Yes I do love kitties, I confess.
I have three of them.
Rather, I provide staff services for three of them.

Now that jail picture is just great. Looks like you're getting a con-cat alright.

Now ER, what are you going to do to introduce Ice-T to this new varmit. I wouldn't put them in the same room together at first, and sure enough don't leave them together alone in the house together first thing out of the box. If you do, I might have me a source of juju bones after all.

I am taking advice on how to integrate the new kitty.

She will be front-paw decalwed and fixed before she gets here.

And Bird tells me the poopy barn must be totally clean.

What else??

JD: All those dang Laws-and-Orders are a blur to me!

I don't watch "Law & Order," so I don't know--is it pronounced with a long E or long A at the beginning?

These days, I always ask proper pronounciation because, even with a Dolly Parton song named after me, my name still gets mispronounced. ;)

Keep them in separate rooms for a few days as much as possible so they get used to each other's presence & scent in the house. Particularly if Eames is still recovering from being declawed and neutered. That'll make her weak, and allow your other cat to play annoying little dominance games. Cats smell weakness and exploit it.

Let them out to hang out together but only closely supervised. If they start that low pitched growling thing, time to separate them in different rooms as punishment. Of course, both of them should get happy treats on their own when they're behaving well.

Separate food/water bowls is a good idea, if they'll use them.

Remember, YOU'RE the alpha here .... supposedly. :)

Thanks, Alan.

Frenzied: It's pernounced EEMs.

Yell "PULL!"

Yeah, and when they are in seperate rooms, keep the door shut.

Here is a site that could be entitled:
