Lust in the gut
Stumbled across in the ether:
"He that but looketh on a plate of ham and eggs to lust after it," said C. S. Lewis, "hath already committed breakfast with it in his heart."

Doing breakfast in my heart has no value what so ever. Breakfast without consumation is not breakfast at all.
Har dee har har har.
But there's a real thought here:
IF to look upon one with lust is to lust in one's heart, which is a sin, then doesn't it follow that for a glutton to look with longing on a plate of ham and eggs is a sin.
And doesn't that point up the notion than sin has more to do with intent, and how one TREATS PEOPLE, rather than some BS list of beahavior that "God doesn't like because they're bad because God says so"?
Tne one who lusts in his heart has already made the object of his lust an OBJECT, and less of a person.
The glutton who longs in his heart for unhealthy kinds and amounts of food has already made himself less of a person, which effs up his concept of himself, which effs up his ability to love himself, which effs up his ability to love others and to love God!
Sorry: Bubba's fine-tooth distinction between homosexual desire and "behavior" in a previous post is making the bile rise. As if BEHAVIOR is wrong in and of itself! Bullshit.

ER, you just completely demolished everything that could be called sin. It looks like our world is adopting that idea and without repentance, consequences and correction WILL come. Mom2

For example:
The behavior of shooting a gun is amoral.
The behavior of shooting a gun carelessly and killing someone is against the law but, I think, amoral.
The behavior of shooting a gun to kill someone is usually illegal, but not always, but I beloieve it is always immoral.
The behavior of shooting a gun to murder someone is illegal and immoral.
So, again, the idea that BEHAVIOR, is wrong in and of itself, is bullshit.
