I'm with drlobojo - Carter is far more effective as a prominent private citizen.
I would ditch the whole Faith Based Initiatives office, as it has already been shown to be nothing more than a political stunt. I would also rescind the Homeland Security Department, and set that clock back to pre-9/11 days. Finally, the difference between Lincoln's cabinet and any potential Obama cabinet is the former had seriously huge egos destroying one another (I think Lincoln was well aware of what he was doing); the egos of any potential group of Obama cabinet members are much smaller, for the most part.

Well, yeah, of course. But appointing the Director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State to head it up would be a great screw you to the fundies. It would be worth it to keep it open just to watch their heads explode.
