Now this is a group I would have thought I would be like. GW? I'm old but that is a little ridiculous. I have the opinions and thoughts of an 18th Century man. Shit!

What I ment to say was :Now this is a group I would have NEVER thought I would be like.
I was betting on Milard Philmore and Rutherford B. Hayes.

I am somewhat puzzeled that an old confederate such as you can qualify as 57% on Lincoln. Maybe it was that "redneck" part.

Ol' Abe WAS a redneck. There is that.

Now, you know I'm a Rebel symp for almost purely sentimental reasons. And Abe WAS the biggest lib of 'emn all, in some ways.

You scored as a Franklin Roosevelt

Great presidents? Why is Reagan on this list then?

I think there's something wrong with the quiz. I scored almost exactly as drlobojo.

George Washington 62%
Theodore Roosevelt 60%
JFK 57%
Harry Truman 53%
Dwight Eisenhower 52%
FDR 45%

Those were my top six.

I was hoping for either Rutherford Hayes or William McKinley. Or perhaps William Henry Harrison.

Notice that "we" score almost exactly opposite of ER. In that I, at least, am the submerged, but soon to be liberated, alternative personality of ER, one would expect such a difference.

He was such a prolific killer! Left a lot of carcases for the use of my children. I would have thought however I would have been more like George W. Bush.

Holy Crap. I'm similar to ER? Boy, are we in trouble.

Hmmm... I got Washington, too. But I think it's the 50/50 on JFK and Ronny that's most strange.

Hey, ER if ya get bored again... (in your spare time lol) check out my blog, I have actually been putting stuff on it from time to time and seem to have found a theme I can follow LOL!!
And if you ever get a chance, what a thing called CSA on (I think) the History Channel its a historical/fictional "documentary" that acts as if the CSA had won the war, complete with fake commercials and Newscasts it is at the very least thought provoking.

That's OK DrLo,
I'm not old (at least I don't think I am) but I'm most like George Washington too (78%).
I wish I knew more about him other than crossing the Delaware, being first pres and - wasn't he the one that was cutting down dad's fruit trees and then bragging : " I cannot tell a lie...?" - or was that someone else...?

I would never cut down a fruit tree.

From the wonderful "Library of America", I have a one-volume collection of George Washington's writings. They make for interesting reading, beginning when he was but 16 years old and served as an emissary for the British to the "frontier outpost" of Duquesne (what is now Pittsburgh). He comes across, at 16, as an overconfident prig, a bit taken with himself. His later writings, continue his rather elevated estimation of himself, including his own humility.

He must have been a singular individual, possessing what is now known as "charisma", because his exploits during the Revolution show him to be an incompetent general (he lost the battle of Brooklyn Heights by dividing his outnumbered forces, allowing the British to take care of each of them in turn; he would make the same mistake again and again, until the battle of Trenton when he overwhelmed a drunk Hessian force). He also cultivated hemp on his plantation, but not for rope-making, or perhaps not only for rope making. Even after reading his writings, he is more than a bit of an enigma to me.

And yet, I scored just like him, and I'm easy. To figure out.

*cough*

I was flattered to come out as JFK on this test but spooked to have Reagan and Eisenhower on my list. Ew. I'd sort of wanted to be Polk.

P.U. Polk was a warmonger acting under color of patriotism and U.S. advancement in the face of barbarians. He was unique that way. Not.

ER, I really don't know that much about Polk. It's just a cool name and an important street in SF. And Tony Joe White's "Polk Salad Annie" was one of my first 45s. Country funk about a chick's mom that worked on a chain gang. Nothing is better than that.
