(Baby) Bird set for take-off -- again!

Sniff-sniff. I can't believe my Baby Bird is fixing to graduate college! And is engaged to a hairy-legged boy! And is moving to Houston!

Wait, what? She's graduated high school? But wait, it was just yesterday I bought this cool mixing/measuring cup thing from her orchestra fund-raiser! I haven't even broken it in yet! Oh wait! You said college? GAH! I've been in a coma!

She walks weekend after next! She whipped through a degree in three-and-a-half years. Dr. ER jokes that Bird has been in her second stinit of college, since a little bitty Bird followed her around and went to classes and seminars with as Dr. ER worked on her Ph.D. as a single mom. So, Bird had a head start. :-)

Kids do grow up fast, ER. It's something adults don't realize because we WERE the kids--and time moves at a snail's pace when you're the kid!

So what's in Houston? Graduate school?

YankeeBetrothed's 'rents! His folks moved from Massachusetts to the Houston area. So YB wants to get neasr them, and Bird *is* a Texan by birth and general upbringing. She plans to work on a master's online, and he is getting teacher cert. to be a teacher.
