Change is bad

Total system upgrade at work! Can open! Worms everywhere! Files missing and wounded! Blood in the aisles! Cubicles in disarray!

Medic! Medic!

Man down!

At my previous place of employment, I was present when we upgraded our computer system. Rather than taking the hour or two we were told, it took almost four. Once we booted it up - the entire system crashed and refused to come back online. Because I was working at a small resort hotel, there was the slight problem of thousands of reservations that might have been lost, as well as the account information for vendors, etc. It was two days before the worst bugs were worked out, and close to a year before all the little ones were beaten in to submission. Good luck.

Uh-oh. This could be a near-fatal blow to our E.R., who seriously does not do well with this type of change. It's hard enough for him to take his coffee cups home when he starts growing a mold garden in them -- at least it used to be. I think you did get better about that, right?
Just keep repeating your mantra and dream of mountains.

I'll have you know that there are only 12 moldy coffeee cups on my desk at the moment. :-)

Take them home and wash them, and everything will be OK again.
