Gone to see Dr. ER! Picnic in the mountains! :-)

Comments:
Drive safely! Have fun! Don't forget your hat and sunscreen!

Remember what I said about feeding the chipmunks samples of the picnic lunch before you eat it. "Dork" indeed.

Give the good Dr. my greetings.

Have a good time!

ER,

Enjoy the trip.

Off topic, but thought it better to ask here, rather than at Neil's.

What is your problem with Timothy addressing you directly, and what do you think you can do about it if he does? Obviously, you two disagree on theology, but don't you set yourself up as having no answers for your position when you get surly with him? It would seem to me that calmly ignoring him or calmly responding is equally beneficial to both yourself and those who read your comments. Just askin' as one not familiar with the history between the two of you.

Timothy thinks he knows me well enough to personally "hand" me "over to Satan." He revealed my real identity here, and on his blog, because he lost it when I linked to his Web page, and also to his church, even though he links to his chuirch from his Web page. He owes me an apology, and I don't ever expect to get it because he is a prideful ass.

What I'll do if he does show his ass to me again is send his elders copies of all the bullshit he laid on me, and let them know they have a real hypocrite in the pulpit. I can be a hypocrite, sure -- but I've never divulged someone's identify when I knew they didn't want it divulged, and, more importantly, I'm not in a pulpit.

Damn the luck, I wasn't around when he gave you up! Oh well.

One more thing, I've always wanted to ask you about B.S., B.S., M.A.
Wass all dat mean?

I starte dthis blog in August 2004, my last semeter of a master's in history, which I finished at age 40, which I'm pretty proud of. I was consumed with it. At first, the blog was just called "Erudite Redneck" -- "erudite" meaning, not "smart" or "intelligent" but "studied" and "well-read," "scholarly." As I got closer to finishing the degree, I made it "Erudite Redneck, B.S., B.S., (M.A.)" to signify my two bachelor's degrees that I got back in the day, plus the M.A. I had in the oven. After I finished the master's, I liberated "M.A." from the parentheses. Since my dream is to continue on either for a Ph.D. or maybe an M.Div., I leave my "letters" up there to remind myself that what I do for a living is just what I do for a living, not what I want to do forever. Oh, and my wife has a Ph.D. and uses it, and I will be workin' to catch up to her untikl I catch up to her! :-)

Oh, howdy redstater!

I take that back about Timothy's elders. Neither Timothy, nor my small grudge, is worth the postage. Lord, take my resentment, and burn it.

And bless Timothy and his congregation. Amen.

Oh. I thought they might be some parody of collegiate achievement rather than the actual real deal. You know what a merry prankster you are.

"I am not a merry man!"
