I promise to wear my overalls

Well, dadgum. Somebody done went and nominated this joint for Best Overall Blog in the third annual Okie Blog Awards.

They're desperate, I reckon. :-)

Actually, recognition by ones peers bein' a highlight of bein' a human bean, it's purdy cool. So, allow me to shamelessly campaign fer myself:

Go here and follow the directions and vote for me! :-)

Thanks to Three Desks Down and One Over for tellin' me about this. TDDAOO got it from The Lost Ogle, which also got nominated.

Comments:
I'd vote for you if I could, even though you sometimes make me crazy. ;)

:-) That's part of my charm! :-)

Oh!! Is that what you call it! ;)

;-)

Hell, Redneck ain't no way I'm gonna vote for you over "Confessions of a Pioneer" Woman
That woman has got a lock on it.
She's doin Little House of the Prairie 21st Century Style.
OK truth is I ain't "registereded" so's I can't vote nohow.
Maybe Juniorthebear will give you his vote.

I nominated ya, but you didn't nominate me so bite me!

(Fine, I'll vote for you, but I'm still pissed.)

Well, dang it. Sorry, Tech. I never know the nominations are bein' took until somebody has done got the votin' started!

Don't buy into that Tech!

Best Okie Blog? Kind of like "Best English Cooking" Award? "Best German Novel" Award?

Just kidding!! Congrats, man. You deserve to win, but I'm biased. I would vote, but as I haven't had access to other Okie blogs, there isn't room for comparison. Best of luck, though.

Ha! Purdy funny -- fer a damnyankee. :-)

"there isn't room for comparison"

?

ha.. I dont think it matters. USDA Choice, #1, Grade A is the best of the best.. No need to compare..

Now.. I just need to move..

Holy milk jugs! Pioneer Woman should win it all hands down.

Must not work for a livin'.

Guess not, except for raising four kids, keeping her home, helping out on the ranch, checking the cows to see if they are pregnant, feed her man and the other cowboys, etc.

Oh.

Then she really deserves to win.

I've got to go see this woman.

Wow, great blog. Lives a completely different farming reality than I do.
Great cooking photos.
