ER's bass-ackwards political views
I don't get it. Ask me, and I'll tell you I'm going to vote for Bill Richardson in the Democratic Primary. And, my second choice is Joe Biden.
And if you ask me, I'll tell you that Dennis Kucinich not only doesn't stand a chance but is too far "out there" anyway.
But I just took this test, and listed below are who it says my preferred candidates are, in order. Kucinich first! Richardson last! And I never even heard of Mike Gravel.

It's a poor test. Clinton was my first choice and I'd probably vote for a Republican over her (not really). Kooch who is my real first choice scored way down at the bottom.
These were my top two, but they were just as far off the mark as the ones that followed. The main thing I got from this test was that I'm not really on board with anyone yet, which I think is how a lot of people are feeling right now.

1. Duncan Hunter (and He is my first choice)
2. Tom Tancredo (Big surprise. I know next to nothing about him aside from his stance on illegal immigration)
3. John McCain?

Out of all these guys, I would still go for Richardson. However, I expect Hillary to win and maybe pull Obama in with her. I would hope that she would take in Bill Richardson as her VP, but I will be susprized if she does.
It is better to elect someone you trust rather than just someone you agree with. Richardson has the only "trustworthy record" among the whole lot Dems or Republicans.

I am actually not surprised by my own results - the trio of Kucinich, Dodd, and Edwards pretty much echo my own political points of view. One note, in re drlobojo's comment about Richardson - he may have an impressive curriculum vitae, but the views he espouses, and his tendency towards caution bordering upon political cowardice lead me not to trust him all that much. Of course, I really don't trust Hillary or Obama all that much, either, even though I agree with the good doctor that one or the other of them will most likely get the nomination, and win the election. I think, at this point, though, it is important to get the word out on who we support. I really don't know who I support, though, even with this little survey giving me a hint at the direction of my own preferences. I will, in all likelihood, like drlobojo, hold my nose and vote for Hillary/Obama, or whomever it might be the Democrats nominate, because, as bad as I think she is, she is far better than the clown-car occupants of the Republican field.

It dawned on me why I think one way on the issues and the opposite (within the party) on voting intentions: I vote for the one I think can win the general, not the one I really want.
And I think Richardson and Biden have a good shopt of winning the general for the very reasons that the liberalist libs and lefties don't like 'em: They're center-libs.

This test gave me: Dodd, Kucinich, Clinton, Edwards, Obama. But a test I took last week (http://www.vajoe.com/candidate_calculator.html) ranked Gravel first. And I hadn't heard of him before then, either.
Anyway, I still don't know how I'll actually vote come the primaries. Like you say, ER, I generally vote for who I think could win the general election. But it gets disheartening.

Democrats: Biden (whaa?), Clinton (eew, the Stepford Candidate), Kucinich (I like him, but it's a throw away vote), Gravel (a little crazy), Obama (so far down?), Dodd, Edwards (but he has such good hair!), Richardson
Republicans: Thompson (well, we could do worse...I mean, we *have* done worse), McCain (Um...not any more), Gilmore (who?), Giuliani (I've seen worse drag, but not much worse), Huckabee, Brownback, Tancredo, Hunter (nope, nope, nope, and who?)
I don't have a clue who I'll vote for. In the primaries I usually vote Republican, hoping that someone sane will get the nomination, just in case the Democratic hopeful loses, alas, we see how well that worked out.

Mike Gravel is a piece of work. google him and see if you can find one of his campaign videos. I saw one where he stood and stared into the camera for about 5 minutes saying nothing, then he turned and picked up a large rock and threw it into a lake, and then walked away. That's it. Weird.
Interesting test.
McCain, Tommy Thompson, Richardson and Huckabee all scored very close and my top 4..
Suprisingly Clinton came in at #5 but after reviewing her answers or stands on some issues I could not support her. The issues we disagree on I feel very strongly about.
I expected McCain to rank high but Thompson and Richardson were a bit of a surprise and will get another look from me for support.

As I've said before any stinkin sorry Democratic Candidate is preferred to what the Republican Party has become. After that hypocritical performance by Bush at his "press conference" yesterday, and the spineless stupidity of the Senate vote (Rep & Dem), I called up Moveon.org and made a contribution.
You must be a stoner. Kucinich was given an A by the pro hemp lobby.
Dodd came in first for me but I already know Edwards is my boy, Obama would probably be next. Edwards come in third on this test, just behind Kucinich.
To be fair, there were only like 5 questions and some of those were vague.
There are better tests out there.
