Cartoons get saved? Scooby-dooby-lu-jah!
I love this silly song! Walk a church aisle, get confirmed, find God's grace on a mountain, at the lake, or in prison. Whatever. There's a point where one's God consciousness begins, although not every Christian can pinpoint it in time.
The shorthand for it in these parts, whatever the particulars, is "getting saved."
What if cartoons got saved??

I guess I mean more than "God consciousness." I mean a conscious reliance on God's grace and a relationship with the Risen Christ.
It's the difference in my "believing" that the chair I'm sitting in right now exists. I don't just believe it exists. I'm sitting in it -- relying on it, trusting it, relaxing in it. The devils believe in chairs, and tremble!
There's no easy way to splain it. But "saved" says it.

Cute cartoon praise song. Kinda simple tho.
As for "God consciouness", needs some work. Kinda circular.
Is sitting in the chair belief? Is it faith? Is it experience and observation?
Saved? Saved from what?

I'd say that sitting in the chair is surrender to the chair, in the face of gravity.
Saved from self, mainly, I'd say.
And dangers, toils and snares and such. ... Meaninglessness. Being alone.
The ravages to self that accompany self-defense, which is natural, in favor of learning to give of oneself, which is something approaching supernatural -- or at least unnatural.
Something like that.
Oh, all right. And "hell," if anyone insists, and by that I mean utter aloneness, lack of communion with God or others.

On the other hand, I like theologian Reinhold Niebuhr's take on the when and where of his salvation:
It was was "2,000 years ago on a dusty hill named Golgotha outside Jerusalem's wall," he said when someone asked him when and where.

Within the last two years because of my corpreal mass three chairs have failed under me do to the attraction of gravity. Using chairs as an exmple might need to be reconsidered.
