'Hope comes no matter how far down I sink; the roots of my raisin' run deep'

Comments:
Nostalgia was once considerd a disease. A longing for the old country, the old way of life that was mostly mythical. It is when the future threatens the present that we return to the safe ground of the past. When the present slips away we try to anchor to the past.
The danger is of course that if we become so grounded on the reefs of yesterday, we may not be able to sail into our tomarrows.
"Give me that old time religion..."
Well, maybe not.

Don't forget--it's Tech birthday on Monday!

This song has always made me wonder.....

Do raisins have roots?

Clams got feet!

Who knew?

I love Porter Wagner's hair!

Thanks, ER. I forget sometimes that Merle Haggard, like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynne, is a bona fide American voice worth listening to.
