Compared to Scientology it seems quite reasonable. But how can you kiss Hank's ass without seeing him? Or did I miss that part?

I find it interesting, but it's simply making fun of Christianity. It's mocking my own beliefs. But somebody's gone to a lot of trouble to mock.
I think it's making fun of fundamentalism, specifically the notion that God is angry and must be appeased, and the persistent belief that despite the Cross, God requires something akin to regular burnt offerings: that's the ass-kissing part.
It's also making fun of the idea that the Bible is infallible and inerrant.
I don't think it's making fun of Christianity per se. Christianity is much more varied in its history and even its present expressions than some would have us believe.
