Just for Geoffrey
Here's the rest of This Was Your Life!
Here's the rest of This Was Your Life!I really don''t have a tremendous amount of trouble with this one. It's another allegory, although based on literalism, as all Chick tracts are.
Except where Jack Chick disagrees with a literal reading of the Bible.

Thanks, ER! Wow, it's even funnier than I remember. Three years of seminary education and several more years of reflection make it even more hilarious.
It's great that Chick's got a web site - I can go back and read all those I missed. I think I saw the one with the hippie-chick munching on human fingers. That one, along with the Satanists sacrificing babies and eating them and drinking their blood . . . words fail me.
I just love the whole concept of God, Gabriel, and Geoffrey sitting around in a kind of Divine screening room, as my life unfolds. Even my worst moments and thoughts would at most rouse a chuckle from me. Should I indeed be banished from the Presence to drown in a lake of Fire for my sins, I at least have the luxury of having seen it first courtesy of Jack Chick.

BTW, to those who take it all seriously, I apologize beforehand. I cannot. One could get all angry at it all, and there is certainly much to anger one in this kind of nonsense. I much prefer to laugh. After all - it's got pictures!

One last comment, then I'm done for the night. I just noticed in the Tooth Fairy tract - in one panel the kid's dad bears a scary resemblance to our favorite Austrian corporal. Coincidence? I think not!
