By the way, wish me luck!

I should know this week or next whether I will be among those who make it to the interview stage for one job in Denver -- working with politicians and lobbiests and government types, doing research and writing and speeches and other public presentations.

And I just now sent off an application for a job working with college students.

The money is best with the first one. The opportunity for my own continued education is best with the second one. I think I actually want the first one most.

Yer prayers, good vibes and happy-happy thoughts, please!

Good luck on both jobs. It is always good to have a choice.

Uh, thanks, but I've just applied for 'em, not been offered 'em!

Of course, you have my prayers and best wishes and good thoughts. Closing and opening doors, man, closing and opening doors.

An old HS buddy of mine is an attorney out there - can't remember if it's Denver or Boulder - and goes by the uninteresting name of Steve Smith. Seriously. I have a few old childhood acquaintances who have made the Rocky Mountain State their home. You'll be in good company.

Both of those sound like good opportunities, ER. Here's hoping!

My prayers, as always, are with you.

Those jobs sound like fun. Good luck with the search.

"good vibes"
Does shakin' from a CA resident count?

Thanks Jim!

Thanks Geoffrey!

Thanks Kiki!

Thanks Teditor!

Thanks Parklike!

Thou hast my well wishes, Rednecked One. May Dame Fortune smile on thy endeavors ... or we will have to kick her shiny ass.

ditto to tech's

You don't need luck, but I will send my best wishes that you relax and enjoy the process! I've got to say this adventure of reinventing self is as much fun as getting up the nerve to swing out over a lake and jump in. It's a BLAST!!
Next time I get a chance to blog I'll talk about some of the good things of making The Big Change.
You'd be great at either job you've applied for. A tip to keep you balanced: Remember that YOU are interviewing THEM as well. And you're good at interviewing, so you have half the battle won before you start!

Thanks, Trixi. That means a lot. :-)

All the best to ya, ER. I hope you enjoy and flourish in whichever one you get.

Thanks, MA. Probably won't get either of 'em. Sporadic rejection will help me gear up for the serious, full-time job of looking for a job this fall.
