What is the purpose of your life?

Drlobojo, via e-mail, with accompamying photo attached: For the darker side of your humor.

ER: I like it! Long ago, I quit thinking the "purpose" of my life was anything big. Might be to be at the crosswalk at just *the* moment some lil ol' lady needs me to hold her arm as we cross. In fact, I think that *is* the purpose of life: to be there. Which includes, to be there as a warning! :-)

Drlobojo: It is a human paradox that we overestimate our purpose in life while underestimating our effect.

What *is* the purpose of YOUR life?

Oh, hot! I just looked at the Despair.com a little more. It.Is.A.Hoot.

Move over, Scott Adams.

I'm not telling my purpose in life. But a big part of it is to be a thorn in the side of as many people as possible. I think I'm doing well with that, so far.

My purpose in life is to spread sweetness and light.

OK, you can stop laughing now.

I do believe my purpose in life includes (drum roll, please!) both of the above comments: To spread sweetness and light, AND be a thorn in the side of as many people as possible. Isn't it a coincidence that so many of us have the same purpose? Trixie, I'm sure I've run into you a lot throughout my life, and Staircase Witch, I haven't seen as much of you around as I'd like to . . . . only maybe once or twice. I really wish you would show up more often.
