Mama ER family circles

Meet Mama ER. Big Brudder took this pic early last year. Isn't she a sweetie?

Can't summarize this in a few words for a headline. Mama ER took a turn for the worse overnight. We gave them the go-ahead to put her on a ventilator to give her a chance to get her breathing cleared up; it's bad.

My thinking is it's like a defibrillator. If you have a heart attack and don't use one, you usually have no chance. If you have a heart attack and they can defib you, you do have a chance.

Mama ER is being given a chance with the ventilator. If she improves in a few days, then she continues to improve.

Family en route from Texas and Arkansas.

Comments:
My prayers continue for your mama and your family.

Mine too. Stand fast.

she's absolutely lovely: she shines

To every thing, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones
A time to gather stones together

To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace
A time to refrain from embracing

To everything, turn, turn, turn
There is a season, turn, turn, turn
And a time to every purpose under heaven
A time to gain, a time to lose
A time to rend, a time to sew
A time to love, a time to hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late

by Pete Seeger adapted from the Book of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Mama ER has a face a stranger could know -- and love. I can tell -- she's a sweet lady, but a heckuva fighter.

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

Horatio G. Stafford, 1873

As you have told me, I tell you:

"Redneck prayers aloft."

You and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers, ER. God bless you all.

Prayers said here. I can't see the picture at all! Not even a "missing photo" icon.

I echo pretty much everything here. Stay strong, stay in prayer, know that there are many, many people out here who are also with you, Mam ER, and the whole ER family right now. God's peace and blessings, and the strength and comfort of the Holy Spirit be with all of you, ER.

words can't say it. I love you
all. Your family has been a
part of my life for 30 something
yrs.

Thanks to you all. Not much to report today, Thursday, other than she's resting. Steady as she goes today. No post 'cause I like seein' Mama ER's picture up there!

She is a sweetie, I like seeing her picture up there too.

All the Damned Fools up in Bachelor Pad One are thinking the good thoughts for your Ma, as well. Remember: sometimes the universe will surprise ya'.

Each morning a new chance of things going right for you mother. Good luck

God Bless your Mom, ER, and God bless you and your's, too. I know this is a trying time for you.

My favorite Bible verse applies in spades during this time:

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are the called according to his purpose." ~ Romans 8:28

Non-redneck prayers aloft for you and your mom.

Bless you, GP, Rich, TStock and even you, Mark. :-)
