Naw, happy and nice, go read the teddy bear's blog.
Back to reality:
Bush kisses a dictators oily rump:
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush praised Kazakhstan as a "free nation" while meeting on Friday with its leader Nursultan Nazarbayev, despite criticism by human rights groups of the Kazakh government's autocratic ways.
Washington views Kazakhstan -- a vast Central Asian country with abundant oil and gas reserves -- as an important strategic ally and economic partner in a region where neighboring Russia and China also compete for influence."
"A free nation" says Bush. Nazarbayev has been "President" of Kazakhstan since 1981. Before that he was head of their Communist Party. Last election he got 91% of the vote. Does that pattern sound familiar. Of course that is the kind of Presidency that Bush would like to have himself. Next time you hear Bush refer to our "American Freedoms" think about the the "Free Nation" of Kazakhztan.

God love Shrub. He's just about as sharp as a handful of mashed potatoes. He should live in a Short Yellow White House. Barney fricking Fife would make a wiser president.
And there, Dan, is the answer to yer question. :-)
I mean, :-<

Hell, I'll do it. I'm tired of Fatman and his stuffed friend. What kind of guy at his age still has his teddy bear?

"What's left of my sense of decency is afraid Borat goes over the top."
he definitely likes to make his audience cringe. still, you gotta admire baron cohen's kaufmanian commitment to a gag.
and having just typed that, i suddenly realize just how derivative of andy he really is. huh.

Strange I thought I saw a lot of Ernie Kovacs in him. But he is sort a blend of the two; Kovacs and Kauffman.
Y aknow, I don't think I've seen or heard Kovacs. And I didn't think of Kaufman when I saw the trailers for Borat -- but that's just my lack of ability to synthesize pop culture over time, probably. Now that y'all mention it, of course!
What section of his arse did O'Reilly show on Leno? What parts of *his* backside did Leno show, for that matter? "I remember Johnny Carson. I watched Johnny Carson. Mr. Leno, you are no Johnny Carson!"

Way before your time. Comics build on each other. Kovacs was the modern foundation of TV comics. Here a good blurb on him:

Heh. I started out as a radio-TV-film major. I learned *of* him in a TV history class. But I've never seen or heard him.
Why in the world are you attacking my Leno? I didn't see it -- on the road, you know -- but Leno's a good host in my book.
