'Canticle to Theocracy'

Slide a trashcan next to the computer, if you care anything about either the integrity of secular government or the integrity of freedom of, and from, religion, and read this from Mainstream Baptist (scroll up).

BE SURE AND READ THE JUDGE'S OPINION, which will make the trashcan especially handy. The opinion is a farce and and a disgrace and embarrassment -- to my state and to the federal bar.

Well, I would let it stay if they also posted Hammurabi's Code and the Magna Carter along with it.

The ACLU is looking for a test case to challenge the balancing act that SCOTUS did last time on this subject. It would seem that this should be a nice example with which to set presidence.

I especially love this part of the article: "Not only does he quote Dante in his opinion, but he titles the headings of his decision "Cantica's" and the subheadings "Canto's." Biblical allusions and metaphors can be found on nearly every quarto of this forty-three page Canticle to American Theocracy."

It does seem however that Judge White's Court is sort of a Devine Comedy in and of itself. It is a toss up whether the ACLU will refer Judge White's decision upstream in the legal system or simple turn him in to the local mental heath system.

If you have ever wondered what level of Hell you might get to occupy you can get an answer at:

My level of Dante's Inferno was Limbo. Sort of like living in Oklahoma City.

I truly pray that your lost vote does not lead to your lost soul.

Do what?

What lost vote?

And my soul will be lost only if someone can pry Jesus's once-dead-now-glorified-nail-scarred hands from it.

ER, why are all of these mice so interested in your soul? Were you a rodent type in some former life?

I think it's because their mouse-sized brains simply can't fathom the notion that someone can be a trying-to follower of Jesus and not be exactly like themselves.
