New lies from Focus on the Family

Focus on the Family is lying about the intentions of Americans United for the Separation of Church and State for this November's election season.

Read the lies, which FOTF considers "spin."

Dr. Dobson needs to rein in the liars who are working for him.

What does Americans United say? Read it here.

Congratulations -- again! -- to Focus on the Family and its PAC for growing so successful in politics. The organizations have real influence. They are running with the big dogs, for sure.

FOTF is becoming indistinguishable from the rest of the cacaphony of the right wing. Same press releases. Same write-your-congressman campaigns. Same newsletters and mailouts and fund-raisers and political strategizing.

FOTF. Has. Arrived.

Impressive. Very worldly. You can hardly even tell it's a "parachurch" organization.

None of which has anything to do with the Gospel -- or with families, for that matter.

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."

Comments:
The way it generally figures is that about 20% of any given population (the true sheep) will follow any goat that will lead them all the way to the slaughter. Another 15% or so generally follow the goat right up until the time they actually see (or smell) the the bloody slaughter pens.
I would say the FOTF deals mainly with that 20 % and sometimes with the other 15%.
Now that would make the core of FOTF's supporters, blind and deaf, without the ability to recognize a stench. The day that the Dobson-Judas Goat takes his fellow believers too far into the pens will be a mixed blessing. But history suggest he will do just that, he is not a new phenomena.

Didn't look like lies to me. Your Separation group doesn't want churches to touch on 'political subjects'. However, many of these 'political' subjects are adressed in the Bible. If a pastor says he's supporting whomever best represents Biblical teachings, nobody should really have a problem with that.

American United doesn't want churches to endorse candidates for office, or to encourage members to vote for specific candidates for office. Not and keep their tax-exmpt status.

When the Bible addresses these subjects it is talking to the individual and to the church not to the country and to the society.
Once these things extend beyond the individual and the church's congregation, then they are not following the dictates of Christ.
A Christian Nation is an Oxymoron.
No nation would be a nation for very long behaving like Christ.

FOTF is a psuedo-christian organization, money changers at best. When they knowing tell half truths, then they are lying. Half truths are warm lies.
