Answers for all wondering

I wrote to Blogger Support to let 'em I wadn't gettin' e-mail alerts when people left comments. Got this back awhallago:

Hi there,

AOL has been blocking automated emails from Blogger (such as BlogSend
emails and comment notification) and we've been working with them to get
this issue resolved. The emails should be coming through properly again
soon. Thanks for your patience.

ER, when I got home from work tonight, I had 33 e-mails waiting for me, most of them Mailer-daemon telling me the e-mails I sent to your site were undeliverable. And the funny thing is, I haven't e-mailed your site!

Those are notices that Blogger was unable to deliver -- or AOL was refusing -- the mails that automatically are sent to the e-mail address of bloggers. Don't you get an e-mail whenever someone leaves a cokmment on your blog? If not, then you don't have your settings set to get them.

We'll see how well AOL co-operates with Blogger. I doubt it will be a smoothe transition of p'wer.

If it were not for receiving email notes, I'd never knowd anybody ever came to my site.

I've never had mine set to receive e-mails. I'm on mine so often though that people hardly have time to leave a message before I see it.
