Overheard in the ER household IX

Dr. ER: "That's two days in a row you've quoted me saying 'sonofabitch.' "

ER: "Maybe you need to quit cussin' so damn much."

Dr. ER, thinks but does not say: "Smart-ass. You bein' pot or kettle?"

A true journalist never misquotes someone. A REAL journalists knows when to paraphrase or even change a quote as to not upset his favorite source.
