Overheard in the ER household II

Says Bird, 19, freshly minted college sophomore, home for summer, spying a gift from last Christmas in the floor, under a bric-a-brac table, not far from the NASCAR tire, in the big main livin' room of the house:

"Dude, I totally forgot I had a remote control car. Sweet! ... "

Ahem--why is it still UNDER the table this long after Christmas?? ;)

Well, she got it from a then-boyfriend who is now an ex. That might have something to do with why she "forgot" she had it. :-) ... If yer wondering about there being a toy left on the floor for so long, welp, we do not live in a Southern Living environment. Or, maybe we do; that mag stuff is someone's fantasy. :-)

Ah, the boyfriend thing explains it. I was wondering why, if it is such a cool thing, it was forgotten under a table. :)

On the other note, I've read enough descriptions of your personal work environment to not jump to any conclusions that you might live in a Southern Living fantasy land. ;)

Oh, I don't know, Frenzied. I'm sure someone around his casa picks up his coffee cups before the molding process begins. Might be the dogs, but something's gotta do it.

Teditor, we make sure the coffee cups get done, when the sink and counters are full and overflowing, whether they need it or not. And the dogs are worthless, flea-bitten hounds.
