Thereby getting me off the hook today.

Read all about it.

Check your calendar -- she posted that on Monday so you are not off the hook on Tuesday. Good thing you posted anyways.

That's a technicality, Trix. It was a holiday. Give the injured man a break.

A Band-Aid, maybe. A break? Hahahaha Never!

Notice, again, the empathy comes from my hairy-legged male friends. The dissing comes from ... my ... um ... hairy-legged female persons.

Doc this mornin' said I might lose the tippy-toe of my finger anyway. I am sad.

How's the typing going, ER? Sorry to hear that you may have to say good-bye to the tip of your finger, but now you'll have stories to tell your grandkids.

We may have to come up with stories that are a little more interesting than pruning yourself, but it'll be interesting all the same.

Well, since I normally type with two fingers on each hand and my right thumb, my typing ability is dimished by 20 percent!

OK, now I will be more sympathetic, since you might lose a body part. Or particle. And I'll have you know I just shaved my legs this morning so I ain't no hairy-legged thing.

If it makes you feel any better, my grandpa lost parts of 5 fingers working in the 1930s oil patches, but he could still play a banjo.

But to make it really official: I am sorry you are injured and I hope you don't lose your finger tip. And I mean that most sincerely.

I'm sorry to hear about your injury, too. I've got a funny-looking finger that got caught in one of those big steel school doors in second grade, so I know how you feel. Don't remember how many stitches, and I did lose the nail, which grew back goofy, but I can still type. :)

I'm glad a finger was all it was, especially when I see my friend, who's 76 now, and lost her right arm below the elbow at age 25. She raised five kids and still plays the piano to this day.

Thank you. I am now sufficiently emphathized with, femalewise. :-)
