C's, D's and F's

Dr. ER allows as to how it looks like I was braggin' on my A's in the previous post. Didn't mean it like that. Here is some ballast, though, just in case. As an undergrad, I made a D in college algebra, on the third attempt, AFTER taking remedial algebra; made a C in statistics, at which Dr. ER excels; made a C in purt 'near every economics class I took to get an economics minor; and I made a D one quarter and an F for one semester in P.E. in junior high. "Erudite" don't mean "smart," y'all. It means "studies a lot," is all. :-)

Yeah, but you are smart, too. Lucky it worked out that way.

Welp, you didn't come in on the short school bus yourself, amigo. :-)

I didn't pick up any braggin' vibes on your previous post. It just sounded, to me, like you were working your butt off to get good grades. And, I agree with Tech, you are extremely smart. Good luck with the evil map test. :)

Aw shucks. I thought it was because you knew I studied meat marketing, soil science, range science and agribusiness textbooks borried from a Texas A&M Aggie niece-in-law and a range reclamation major from the University of Wyoming, and global marketing texts I checked out of the lieberry, just to write about cows, sows and plows (and cotton, wheat, peanuts, pecans, 4H and FFA show animals and peaches, Lordy Amighty, let's not fergit the blasted peach crop) in a dang newspaper!

Shoot, Nick, if you was drunk, might'nt you have been tryin' to say something else? Maybe you was tryin' to say "ignerent" redneck and gotcher consonants mixed up. Used to, that's when I knew I'd had enough. I didn't just slur; I forgot how to say consonants. Hard to make yerself understood that way: Arr ooo aayy errseh uhherruu ahh ayyy, eeee? Ah! Ah! EHOHEH!

My how things mighta turned our different. I don't think anyone would want to read a blog called "Ignorant Redneck." Besides, that slice of the socio-cultural mosaic in this country has done been claimed, staked out and took by lots of folks already! Most of 'em even have talk radio shows! ;-)

'Scuse me, but ain't "ignorant" and "redneck" an oxymoron?

Sorry, just couldn't resist. You'll note when I'm bein' a smart-alek, I attach my name. :-)

Redundant, too! :-)
